The Pioneer Tract Society, Inc.
Charter

(revised, November 1998)

The Pioneer Tract Society, Inc. is a group of non-Christians who are followers of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God. We seek to bring Jesus honor, and to inspire others to do the same by the publication and distribution of gospel literature, by preaching of the gospel as the holy Spirit leads, and by any and every other means which God may will to be done.

This work had its inception in or about 1932, after George C. Clark, Sr., first president and founder of The Pioneer Tract Society, Inc., was anointed with the holy Ghost and power to heal not only the broken and afflicted bodies of men but also the brokenness of the body of Christ. The message that he and others received from God during the days of the pentecostal revival of the early twentieth century we continue to proclaim.

We are certain that God’s will is that the body of Christ be united in perfect fellowship. We believe that unity of the saints is attainable if the congregation will obey God's voice, and that God has given The Pioneer Tract Society, Inc. an important part in the work of eradicating the divisions that exist among believers. Our special calling is to minister to those who are already converted. It was the early congregation's neglect of the truths we teach which resulted in the formation and rise of the religion of Christianity; and it is the ignorance of these truths among God’s people which perpetuates the saints' continued participation in that false religion.

For the love of our family in Christ, and in obedience to the calling that is upon our lives, we continue this labor, certain of the favor of God and hopeful of the eventual success of our efforts to persuade our honest-hearted brothers and sisters of the simple, healing truths of God.

Membership

Membership is predicated principally upon these conditions:

(1) Only those who have been baptized into God's family with the holy Ghost (with the evidence of speaking in tongues) can become members of this work. The Pioneer Tract Society, Inc., is not the body of Christ; it is a society of body of Christ members working together for the blessing of the body of Christ as a whole.

(2) One must demonstrate, by holy living, a firm commitment to the way of the Lord Jesus.

(3) One must demonstrate a commitment to the particular calling placed upon the Pastor and members of The Pioneer Tract Society, Inc. A person who is thus committed will demonstrate that single mindedness by attending all meetings of The Pioneer Tract Society, Inc., and by rendering all his tithes and offerings to this work prior to admission into The Pioneer Tract Society, Inc. Such a commitment includes having a deep interest in the efforts and welfare of The Pioneer Tract Society, Inc., and a recognition of the order and authority by which this work, under God, is maintained.

(4) The Pastor alone makes the decision of granting membership into The Pioneer Tract Society, Inc., based upon his own judgment. The Pastor chooses members as he believes they fit into God's plan for him personally.

(5) The Pioneer Tract Society, Inc. is nothing more than a tool used by the Pastor to accomplish God's calling on his life; therefore, ALL business decisions concerning The Pioneer Tract Society, Inc. are to be made by the Pastor alone, or by those appointed by him. The Pastor alone has the authority and responsibility for: the purchase or sale of equipment and real property; all decisions concerning financial matters including the incurring or discharge of debts; the granting of membership or the dismissal of individual members; publication choices and schedules. To reiterate: ALL business decisions concerning The Pioneer Tract Society, Inc. are to be made by the Pastor alone, or by those appointed by him.

Basic Doctrine

The only right doctrine that exists anywhere is what the Spirit is saying to the body of Christ. The only right preaching is preaching that is consistent with what the Spirit is already saying to the body. The Spirit is truth, and only by the Spirit can we know the mind of the Father. Therefore, we rely upon the Spirit to guide us into all truth, as he has guided us thus far into this truth in which we stand. Because the Spirit is life, the doctrine of the body of Christ is actually a living experience, not a staid formula. However, as is befitting a God who is the same yesterday, today, and forever, there are truths which the Spirit constantly affirms to the heart of every believer. Among these are the truths described in the following numbered paragraphs.

1. Jesus of Nazareth was born of the virgin Mary, as the only begotten Son of God. Without sin, he suffered torture and crucifixion for the sins of all men, rose the third day, and forty days later ascended into heaven to present himself to God, his Father, as a sacrifice for us all.

Heb. 9:24-26

2. The soul who comes to God for forgiveness of sins must come to him in the name of Jesus, and whosoever repents of his sins in such a manner is forgiven of all his sins, the holy Ghost being the witness that this forgiveness has been granted and that eternal life has been promised to that forgiven individual.

Jn. 8:24
1Jn. 1:9
Heb. 10:12-15a

3. God has appointed a day, known only to him, in the which he will judge by Jesus Christ all who have ever lived on the earth. All who have conducted themselves according to His will shall be granted eternal life, in peace and joy, while every soul who has lived an ungodly life will be condemned to everlasting torment, in utter darkness and hopelessness.

4. There is only ONE BODY of people recognized by God as his own. This body is made up of those people in whom dwells the Spirit of God, the witness of their sanctification by the blood of Christ. At the present, those sanctified people are scattered among the various sects of Christianity, a religion which is an abomination to God and is contrary in all respects to the Spirit of the Lord Jesus, who would have all his saints to be one, as he and the Father are one. Nevertheless, we recognize all who have received God's Spirit to be our brothers and sisters, regardless of how they have conducted themselves since their conversion, because we recognize the work of Christ in their hearts, and we seek to honor him in all things.

1Pet. 1:18-19

5. There is only ONE SPIRIT which is holy. Therefore, there can be only ONE FAITH, for the truth is revealed only through the Spirit. This Spirit is not a person; it is life, the eternal life of God. Without it, no man has life. It is the Spirit that bears witness, in a heavenly inspired utterance, when we are born again. All testimonies of men, whether great men or obscure, are utterly worthless in the sight of God, apart from the witness of the Spirit, and religion based upon man's confession of faith without the Spirit's witness is of Satan. Without the holy Ghost, one is neither sanctified nor washed from one's sins.

Jn. 15:26-27; 2:23-25

1Cor. 6:11

6. There is only ONE BAPTISM recognized by God, and that is the baptism administered by his beloved Son, Jesus. This is the baptism of the holy Ghost. It is by this baptism that one enters the body of Christ and distinguishes it from the churches of Christianity, which were instituted by men and can be joined. We believe that this baptism is evidenced by an inspired utterance of the Spirit through the person baptized, as a sign to unbelievers of the right way to come.

7. There is ONE HOPE for the body of Christ, and that hope is the hope of eternal life, which Jesus will grant at his coming to all who are faithful to the will of his Father. There is nothing in this temporal life of any eternal value. All this creation will be destroyed, and a new heaven and a new earth will be created for those who obey God, the creator. It is Christ, living in us by the Spirit, which alone gives us this hope of eternal life.

8. Jesus Christ alone is the ONE LORD over all, with one clear exception: the ONE GOD, his Father. It is obvious that He who made Jesus both Lord and Christ did not subject Himself to His Son. On the contrary, Jesus submitted himself to his heavenly Father, in both love and fear, preferring at all times that the Father's will, rather than his own, be done. Jesus' very life, as well as his authority over heaven and earth, were given to him by his Father. All things that exist, were made by the Son of God, except for the Son of God himself, who is the Beginning and the Ending, the Alpha and the Omega, of the Father's creative work. After creating the Son, the Father created nothing else, but gave all the work of creation into his Son's hands. Jesus is the Beginning and the End, First and the Last that the Father ever created.

***********************************

These doctrinal truths are certain and constant, but they are not the only truths in the kingdom of God. No earthly document can explain the whole work of God, nor express the whole work of a congregation that is led by the Spirit. As time passes, our directions change as God leads us in more perfect ways. He has, since the original charter of The Pioneer Tract Society, Inc. was written, led us out of the abomination of Christianity, having opened our eyes to the truth about that religion. We expect Him to continue to lead us in ways which He alone sees.
