My Son and I Both Healed!
On Monday morning, my son Samuel woke up with a runny nose and sneezing. I knew that it was the beginning of a cold. I thought about how usually if one of my children gets sick, usually it gets passed to the other two. I also thought about the gatherings that we were having the upcoming weekend, and I knew that I did not want to miss any of those. I began to pray for Samuel and I also called Taylor to tell him to pray for Samuel. It wasn’t long, shortly after breakfast, that Samuel was perfectly fine. This is not the first time that Samuel has been healed this way. I told Samuel, “Jesus did it again.” He said, “Mmmhmm” in a shy way. I was so thankful that God did that for us, but that was not all that God was going to do!
Later on that same morning, I could tell that I had two clogged milk ducts from nursing my baby. I had this happen to me before when I nursed Samuel. It felt like two lumps under the skin and was painful to the touch. I began to think about how I would have to go to the doctor and when would I have time to do that? I continued on with my morning as usual but still had this concern.
At lunch time, I went downstairs and put on the new music CD by Darren Prater. I was feeling so blessed by the music and thanking God for the touch that He gave Samuel that morning. The Spirit was on me very strong and it felt wonderful. Then the Spirit said to me, “The power of God can touch you too.” I felt the lumps and began to pray that God would touch me. While I was rubbing the hard lumps, the lumps and the pain disappeared! I cried and cried and thanked God! Where the lumps were was now completely soft. Praise God!
All I could do was thank God and say over and over, “God, YOU are my help!” He is always there to help me. When I need help with Samuel and Samantha, He is there. When I am up in the middle of the night with baby David, He is my help. When I need a touch, He is my help. Do I feel loved! I also felt that Jesus was saying to me, “When you a need a healing, talk to me first.” Jesus was inviting me to talk to him and to expect something! He is so good to take care of us when we need him.
